Not the best weather wise today but for the first time I was able to watch our mighty box hill women’s play at home and they were bloody awesome, we matched it with Delasalle all day and only just lost by a couple of goals in very difficult conditions.

A lot of work went into getting the day off to a success and it should be mentioned that SB Woodsy affie and big George put a massive amount of work into getting everything set up behind the scenes, the highlight would have to have been Woodsy putting together the new BBQ lol that has got a mention on Facebook too that hasn’t thrilled big Pete just quietly haha.

After all his hard work behind the scenes Woodsy then turned his attention to game day and to get his warriors up for combat against Delasalle, what he has been able to do in a short time with a lot of new players and some that have never even played before is a credit to him and outstanding effort by all the women involved and I am super impressed with what I seen and very proud to say that’s our girls in the red n blue 😊👍

I was happy to have been part of it today I had a lot of fun and I see a lot of positive things ahead for this group and I urge us all to show them the support they deserve.

In closing I did see something very funny pre game today as I looked at the opposition going through their pre game warm up, they were doing lane work warming up etc in the rain while half of our team where huddled up under the marquee that we had set up for supporters to watch the game hahaha sorry guys but I couldn’t resist 😜
