For those that either weren’t at training on Thursday night or left straight after training some news was announced by a club favorite amongst many on selection night, Jerome has decided to hang the boots up after 6 seasons and reaching his milestone 50th game recently.

Injuries and a his passion to continue his cricket with his brother and son have become his main focus while his body holds together away from the battle grounds of footy, i had the pleasure of sharing a beer in the bar after training where you will always find Jerome for a good chat n laugh.

It was here that Jerome told me his story of how he came to the club 6 years ago to take a break from tennis in the off season of cricket for one footy season, well as he said with a giggle it became 6 years 50 games and he regrets not one moment as he has made some great friends and fulfilled his passion to win a flag in footy just has he has done in cricket.

Whilst his retirement is immediate Jerome said he will still attend training and game days for the remainder of the season to support the boys, a great mate on and off the field we all want to thank you for your contribution to the club and congratulate you on a fantastic 6 years at Box Hill North Supers mate well done 💪👏👍
